W2 – Long Live Chairman Mao, Our Great Teacher, Leader, Commander and Captain

From August 1st to 12th, 1966, the 11th Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing. The Plenary Session adopted the “Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Great Revolution of the Proletarian Culture.” In the same year, Mao Zedong commented on “Celebrating a big-character poster of Peking University”: “The wrong leadership that jeopardizes the revolution should not be accepted unconditionally, but should be resolutely resisted.” Then, the Red Guard movement began to spread rapidly throughout the country. On August 18, 1966, millions of people held a celebration of the “Cultural Revolution” in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. Mao Zedong successively on August 18, August 31, September 15, October 1, October 18, November 3, November 10, November 25 to 26, a total of 8 On the Tiananmen Square, I met 13 million people and Red Guards from all over the country.
